Really weird and although it helps set up the doll character in Haunting Adeline, don't need to read again.

I was unaware that there was a book preceding Haunting/Hunting Adeline, so I read this after the duet. Had I started with this, I don't think I would have read the C&M duet at all because this seemed rushed and too over the top. However, because I started with the C&M duet, I was glad to have read this because Sibby was one of the two characters I liked from Haunting/Hunting Adeline, and I wanted more of her story. It sucks that she is used mainly for comedic effect in the later duet (like so many characters with mental illness) because there was a lot of potential and opportunity to better utilize a character with her history. Knowing the reality of her henchman from having started with the universe's second book, what I assume some would call "spicy" parts of this book read tragically and gratuitously. Sadly, this is the last book I'm going to read by this author. I wanted to like it, but I just can't get on the bandwagon.
