La razón por la que me gustó es por toda esta cuestión con cierto personaje que no puedo contar porque sería spoiler, pero si me encantó todo eso. Me lo olía desde el principio y confirmar mis sospechas al final fue

*Satan’s Affair* by H.D. Carlton is a dark, twisted novella that follows the story of Sibel, a deeply disturbed woman who works at a haunted carnival. Sibel’s character is complex—she’s both chilling and compelling, driven by a thirst for violence and a belief that she's fulfilling Satan’s will by punishing sinners. Her delusions make her unpredictable and dangerous, but also strangely vulnerable, giving readers a glimpse into the trauma that has shaped her psyche. Carlton’s portrayal of Sibel is intense and unflinching, making her both a fascinating and horrifying protagonist in this fast-paced, brutal tale.

Maybe it’s because I accidentally had the plot twist spoiled but I didn’t really enjoy this book. I eventually started skipping through the sex scenes, not because I’m a prude but because the idea of sex married with murder didn’t sit well with me. I can appreciate the attempt at including a mental health/psych aspect but it just felt really surface level.
Love this genre but whether or not I’ll be giving H.D. Carlton another try is still up in the air.
