This is the first time I've read a Dark Erotic book and ultimately I didn't hate it. this not the worst thing l've read.
I probably won't continue the series or read more from the author. I don't think the writing style was for me and the childish MC weirded me out.
But I'm thinking maybe queer dark books might be something I'm interested in at some point.

A bit too gory for me despite the "warmth between my thighs"

I really liked the Hunting/Haunting Adeline duo, so I was excited for this one. I had a really hard time reading it though, even with it as short as it was. I understand the viewpoint it was being written from, of someone that isn’t mentally well, but it was a hard read.

I tried reading this before the haunting Adeline book and just couldn’t get into it- tried again after both books and glad I did, I liked seeing Sibbys POV on her life!

This book is chaotic, dark, depraved, murderous insanity and I'm here for it! Check your triggers before reading. This one was definitely a wild ride and I would go on it again and again!

I finished Ms. Carlton's "Haunting Adeline" and found myself remaining curious about Sibby's storyline. Picture my excitement when I discovered an entire Novella dedicated entirely to Sibel [ecstatic, actually].

This Novella follows Sibel and her Henchmen as she works to complete her mission while working at the traveling haunted carnival, Satan's Affair.

I completely DEVOURED this dark erotica and read it over the course of just a few days. It was a quick read, but I was hooked right from page one.
Sibel's backstory was gripping, and heartbreaking - specifically when we find out what happened to Sibby's mother.. man, I SOBBED. That small piece of the story was likely the only reason I didn't finish this book in one day.

This was my 2nd book from H.D. Carlton and I've gotta say that she's climbing the ranks to be one of my most favorite authors.

Honestly I feel like this book could’ve added so much more to Sibby’s story than it actually did. I would’ve liked to have seen more of her backstory rather than repetitive scenes of what went on in the haunted house.
