Surprisingly easier to get through (in terms of graphic content) than the books that follow. I read this after reading Haunting Adeline & Hunting Adeline. I won’t lie, I found some parts kinda boring and it didn’t grip me the way the other books did

I really liked this book! I’m just dipping my toes into this genre and thought I’d read this before Haunting Adeline to get a vibe into H.D Carlton’s writing, but I was pleasantly surprised considering the content in this book was VERY intense and dark.
I loved that this book had a clear plot and backstory, with flashbacks. I find with this genre, it’s so easy to have characters with no substance or background, so I appreciated being able to get to know Sibby deep down, understanding why she does what she does, and being able to understand what it took in her life to get to that point! I absolutely loved the ending and getting a glimpse into Zade’s character, setting me up for the next books!
Super fast paced, entertaining, engaging and intriguing plot, which made me want to keep reading!
Obviously as per usual- as much as it didn’t bother me, be sure to check trigger and content warnings on this book as there are quite some heavy and dark topics discussed that could make you feel uncomfortable or uneasy ❤️

This was a good fast read. I was sucked in within a couple chapters and i loved the whole horror aspect of it. I can’t wait get to this authors other books.
This is a story of a girl, Sibby who ran away from home which was essentially a religious cult and hides and lives inside a haunted house amusement ride. She can tell when someone is rotten to their core and she takes it upon herself to rid the world of them and their foul stench with the help of her 5 henchmen who work at the haunted house too.
Sibby’s henchmen; Jackal, Baine, Morris, Cronus and Timothy where all delicious and insatiable when it comes to pleasing Sibby and their steamy scenes where indeed steamy as hell.
This book is graphic and I’m not just talking about the smut. There is a lot of gore in this book and one part in particular where even I was like “oh crap” (and that’s saying something when I don’t usually get affected by such things in books or movies). The smut on the other hand was graphic and detailed in a much more mouthwatering way.
That ending left me mind blown and speechless
This book not only has a lot of gore but a lot of other triggers too. Such as mentions of R, child abuse, coercion, brainwashing, gaslighting, mental and physical abuse and murder.
