This book reminded me why i love to read and write and thats cheesy as hell but its the truth. It has that like ill love you forever and were young and in love energy that is normally so eye rolling but this book is so earnest AND THE FREAKING ENDING. Ive never seen myself more in two people than i have in daniel and natasha

That ending!! This book was just as lovely as everyone says. A great story that kept my interest, and really got me thinking about my life and how I live it.

I love this book. Yes, it's a YA romance, and even of the "we only have one day but it'll last forever because I'm 17" variety, but I didn't even roll my eyes. Not once. These characters were so real, and so rich. Their story was not just their romance, but racism and immigration and school and college and complicated family dynamics, even in loving families.

I hate romance novels. Like HATE them. Nothing worse than a lovey dovey book where the characters believe in fate and get back together.

Something about this book was different. Not sure what. I loved that Natasha was backing away and didn’t believe in fate. I loved that both sides grew and developed. I loved the importance of a singular day. I loved the backstories of characters who were passing by. I love that there wasn’t a happy ending.

I loved how original this book was. I especially loved that it didn’t include the seaside, or small family owned cafe, or a out-of-nowhere marriage proposal, or a title such as ‘Summer at the Whiteshore Beach Hut’.
