I had a few minor complaints about this book and the writing (telling rather than showing certain things, etc.), but the things I loved about this book, I really, really loved. So it gets a full 5 stars.

Did love this as much as the first but still thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved all the side characters and liked how it ended.
Def read trigger/content warnings especially if you struggle with mental health.

This was a beautiful sequel to a well written story. I loved Karina and Malik’s individual character development and how they developed together. The discussion around making difficult choices and learning to live with them really stuck with me. A realistic ending that made me cry then smile.

I buddy read this with a friend and we really enjoyed it, maybe even more than the first book in the duology! It was a fantastic way to end the duology and we saw characters confront their pain/trauma and ultimately grow from it. I felt satisfied with this conclusion and think other readers will too!

I would love to see this adapted to a limited series or a movie!!
