It was good not great, entertaining not compelling. It was lighter in tone than other Daredevil stories. I think that is a fine line to manage and Mark Waid just missed. I did enjoy it enough to want to read more of his Daredevil run.

I really appreciate how the artist drew panels in such a way as to highlight how Matt senses his surroundings. Very good!

Fantastic new approach to a classic character, wonderfully brought to life by the masterful Paolo Rivera and Marcos Martin. Highly stylized but somehow still understated, the art perfectly matches Waid's take on the character, which feels both refreshing and familiar, harking back to a time when comics weren't as dark and brooding. (Nothing against Frank Miller, of course, whose take on the character is still *the* quintessential Daredevil.) Waid takes Daredevil's turbulent history and uses it to propel him forward out of darkness. (No pun intended, I guess.)

this is an awesome daredevil book. Mark waid is a really good writer, and in this book he tries to show how daredevil sees the world while still telling a compelling story. The art by rivera and martin is awesome too.
all in all this is a very good book.
