Ameila and Tobias' story literally blew me away. They both have been put through so many obstacles at such a young age. Ameila and Tobias goes through such a hard heartbreak. The older they get, the more they are willing to do whatever it takes to make it work for them. Their story isn't perfect, but it's perfect for them.

“You’re my moon, you know?” His hands moved through my hair as he held my gaze. “The light in my dark. I’ll never stop reaching for you, Amelia.”

After reading Falling From Gravity I was so excited to continue Tobias and Amelia’s story. I got swept up right away and I knew their love story was going to be epic. And KK delivered as expected. She created an angsty second chance romance, looking for its equals.

“We’re moon and earth, living among the stars and sun. We’re everything.”

Tobias is perfect. Seriously, I want my very own one. He has a heart of gold, is caring and loves whole heartedly. He’s the right amount of bold and conceited. But he has every right to be.

Amelia is adorable. I love how passionate she is about dancing and everything she really loves in life. No wonder she loves Tobias so passionately.

Together Tobias and Amelia create their own universe with its own gravity. It’s simply amazing and a love pure like theirs deserves to be told by no other than this amazing and talented author.

“That was Tobias and me – two connected souls that had once defied the laws of gravity.”

Defying Gravity will amaze you on so many levels that you yourself will get caught up by the gravity of this enchanting book.

“Our love wasn’t just written in the stars. Our love was the stuff stars and planets were made of.”

Defying Gravity is an emotional three part read. K. K. Allen takes us on a journey of two lovers that meet at different points in their lives only to find that time and circumstance are never on their side. How can love be so cruel as to meet your soulmate so young only to have them leave over and over again because they need their chance to fulfill their own destiny first. This is the story of Amelia and Tobias.

Growing up next door to each other, their romance blossomed in a secret love affair that they kept hidden from their family and friends. When Tobias left for the NBA, Amelia set sights on her own dream, which didn't exactly turn into the rainbow and sunshine picture she'd always thought it would be. I will say, this part of the story, even though extremely tough to read, is also terribly accurate. Female bullies are the worst especially when it comes to tearing down another's self-esteem. I do like the message that K.K. Allen sends in the book about women taking control of their image and being proud of their shape. Women should be more supportive of each other instead of instantly ripping one another apart.

When Tobias and Amelia finally get to the point of having a chance of being together, a new challenge gets in their way. Is this the world telling them that they don't belong together or just a way for them to work together to find a solution to their gravitational pull.

Amelia (Amie) and Tobias get a second chance at love in this book about fighting for your dreams and overcoming obstacles. Tobias felt real. I loved that he made just the right amount of salty remarks to Amelia because he had a right to be mad, but it was never over the top and he knew his own heart.

*best friends brother*
*second chance romance*

4 when the moon and earth collide stars!!

K.K. Allen writes these amazing romances over a long period of time where the characters have time to evolve and come to trust and rely on each other. I think that’s what makes these stories so much more than a normal love story these characters have a Part 1, 2, or 3 to journey through. I also love that with the dancing she includes these links to actual choreography so you can visualize what is going on in the moment.

Onto the characters, Amelia we met in the previous book which is not necessary to read before this book as it’s a standalone. This girl is fighting for her dreams, and dreams aren’t always what we thought they were to begin with. I enjoyed that she always put other people first in her life, even new dancers that she just met were always greet warmly by Amie. She grew up with Tobias which added a new dynamic to this love story because they seem to have a deeper connection. Of course, their lives are spinning in completely different directions at the moment even though they have a very deep connection. I love that they both want to lift each other up but are unsure how to do that completely.

Tobias is so sweet and generous, and I can’t believe he stays single so long for Amie and ugh book boyfriend hangover. I do not follow professional basketball at all and I know this a fictional team, but I know that he is working so hard to get back to her, and that moment when he sees her again almost rips my heart out of my chest. He is just as giving as Amie if not more since he just wants to hang out at the Rec on his days off and help with kids. Which of course brings him closer with all of Amelia’s friends by happenstance. Some of the decisions he made in the book while being obvious tropes I didn’t even care about because it was the natural slide of the characters evolving over time.

These books are so freaking good, I can’t even explain it… I actually just hooked the dance studio owner on them and she may hook her whole dance studio owner group on them soooo you are forewarned K.K. Allen.

Falling in love with your sister's best friend comes with a lot of obstacles. Add in the truth that you are adopted and that the NBA has no place for you and the obstacles get even bigger. But through it all Tobias and Amelia find out that love can stand the test of time. Both might have been separated due to circumstances but their connection lasts across time. With beautifully written characters that are real and lovable and a storyline that captivated the reader from the opening pages this friends to lovers to soulmates book is one I would highly recommend.

Just not for me (some spoilers)

Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish this book. I tried, I really did, but I was not crazy about the main character Amelia, or the storyline. I like Tobias, the main male character but that’s about it. I felt like Amelia is immature and really just doesn’t make much sense. She said it’s always been toby, she will never love anyone else like she loves him, but yet she doesn’t want to try to be with him? Over a job that she wasn’t even really wanting to take? Also, she says she’s so in love with him at one point, and then says she doesn’t even know if they would be compatible. The one other thing that bothered me was that Toby said he was always trying to get to her, that was his goal, if that was the case then when she left and he couldn’t get in touch with her... why didn’t he just go to gravity where he knew she danced at? I know he was in Chicago but are you telling me he never got a break and could go see her? If their love was that important why didn’t either of them try AT ALL? Idk, this storyline just wasn’t for me and that really makes me sad because I enjoyed to chemistry between the two. But it’s free through kindle unlimited so I say read it and judge it for yourself, but as for me.. I didn’t care for the story. BUT I have read other books from this author and enjoyed it so don’t let my review of this book turn you away from all of her books.

Holy heck.... I'm so lost right now.

That book - it was brilliant, beautiful and so full of goodness that I just wanna burst.

Tobias and Amelia are freaking amazing, much like K.K's words:
"We’re just Amelia and Tobias. We’re moon and earth, living among the stars and sun. We’re everything. And no matter the distance, we still make sense together.”

So much angst, disappointment, love, lust, heartache and happiness.

I'm completely overwhelmed in the best possible way.
