A very respectful, beautiful portrayal of grief and loss and different people yearning to see someone just once more. It revolves around a small cafè with the family who run the cafè and provide the 'magic' to go back in time as the kind of side characters throughout the vignettes of different people going back and their stories but then they are also main characters at the end who tie up all the stories into one beautiful realisation. It is a slow moving book and you just have to sit back and take it at its own pace, but it is beautiful and it made me cry!

A pretty quick read with a really inspiring message! Very character driven, and I loved the overall premise of the story. The time travel was unique and grounded with rules that made it feel even more real. I particularly loved how everything tied together, like the relationships of different characters we saw throughout each of the 4 stories, which was something I hadn't expected do be done so well. I will say it was a tad slow for my taste, and I also found certain parts to be overly repetitive (especially the rules). But overall, a really good read!

Although I thought the repetitiveness of the rules really drove home stakes of traveling through time, at a certain point it began to feel like a nuisance.
