Overall, I did like this book....but not being a history lover myself found myself pretty bored during several sections of it...Jamie and Claire meeting all the people in Paris that all blended together for me, then all the battle stuff was pretty boring also. Granted. if I was into history more I probably would have enjoyed that. And the first 80+ pages was a killer for me because I just wanted to be reading about Claire, Jamie, and the unborn baby but I had to get through all the current stuff first. And it sucked reading it and knowing that Jamie and Claire were headed for heartbreak.

From the time they surrendered Claire to the English to the end of the sections about Claire and Jamie I was riveted. Their goodbye was heart-wrenching though, buy I'm glad to know that it's not the end for them and can't wait for the next book.
