I liked it but it definitely didn’t pull me right in. I don’t think I really connected with the characters enough. Enjoyable but also didn’t have me eager to read more from the author.

Fun Short Read
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. The world building wasn't over the top, it kept me engaged and interested. The characters weren't overly developed for it being a fast paced and somewhat short book, pretty perfect in my mind for a nice quick read. I liked the dragon aspect of this book and how they interacted with humans and the world. Will definitely read more in this series!

Dragon men? Say less….
Naomi Lucas has an amazing ability to bring a wild new world to life. I loved her Naga Brides series, and this dragon series looks like it’s going to be another hit for me.
Unlike the Naga Brides series, this isn’t a clear cut dystopian Earth, but our FMC is human. And Venys has a lot of Earth like characteristics. I love the maps that Naomi gives in the front of the books. With so much traveling to different territories it’s nice to get a visualization.
So, there’s a red comet that has been cycling and streaking across the sky for generations and with it comes the reduction of male offspring, humans and other creatures alike. To cope with the female to male ratio each of the tribes sends off any boys to other tribes, when they’re of age, to try and encourage more male babies being born and to stop any inbreeding (praise

DNF 63%
Sometimes Naomi Lucas’ books are good. Sometimes they’re just misogynistic words on a page where the female takes away the males choice and the male has no recourse but to have sex with her.
This one was not good. Really not good. I prob should’ve DNF’d in the first few pages when she was CRAVING for a man - ANY man (like ew) but it only got worse and worse.
0% romance.
0% chemistry.
2% lust.
98% arrogant, selfish, almost-rapey-abusive-dragon man accidentally trapped by a selfish horny woman who only wants a male for his cock to propagate her species.

It ended cute at least.
I liked the beginning and the ending, but the middle almost made me throw in the towel. I'm all for enemies to lovers. I don't mind fast past or quick burn. But this guy, ugh. He is like so hot n cold it's borderline abusive. I'm surprised this girl didn't cut her losses and run.
Other than that, I really like the world and the other characters. It was nice to see a change up from the typical all-the-females-are-gone trope. I'll read a couple more in this collection.

Great new series!
Super excited about this new book! Features a strong female character and a super sexy dominant male character. FMC takes her brother to a neighboring village as he is the last male born from her tribe in 10 years. So she has no chance of ever having a mate or kids. While in the neighboring village she hears a rumor that there are dragons on the planet and they are potential mates! Whats a girl to do but find a dragon! I loved the build up after the main charcters meet and the journey home. A great new world was crreated and good character building. I can't wait for the next book in this series!,

The idea of this book is brilliant. One I haven’t seen done 1,000 times.
However, it’s a little hard to read as it’s somewhat caveman style verbiage with a hint of historical romance.
The MMC is very pushy, rude, mean, and not in the morally grey way we all love.
I think with a bit of reworking, some updates to the writing style, and maybe just a bit more story? Brilliant.

It was… ok. I wish there was more… just more. It felt short and quick but still a little hard to get through, like I was getting bored. I appreciate the world building and I’ve always loved Naomi Lucas’s writing style, so that was still on point. The sex was underwhelming, I wanted more. Kaos is a fun lead, I love me a grumpy guy that ultimately comes around, but Issa left much to be desired.
I’ll be reading the next one and I think I’ll enjoy it more because I really like Aida’s character in this book so having her as the lead will be fun. Hopefully her male counterpart is interesting as well.
