I had read this book years ago and was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. I thought the narrator handled both the male and female dialogue well.

Simon originally comes across as stalkerish with his Obsession with Kara. Just the way he was described in the first chapter made him seem dangerous. Although he never did anything to put her in danger, or alter her life. Then he made the decision to intervene one evening. Even that was for her benefit. Simon's personality started to develop when Kara entered his life. Between being a computer geek and having a traumatic event in his life, I guess he was doing fairly well.

Kara never came across as a strong woman. I don't mean she wasn't strong and independent. She had to be in order to be almost homeless, attending school, working full-time, and practically living off fumes. I mean it seemed like her spirit was fragile. From the very beginning she seemed to be a sad, lonely, struggling woman who need help. Or maybe when she and Simon connected was when the straw that broke the camel's back occurred.

Simon and Kara's major problem was a serious lack of communication. Whether because it was not done well, or not at all caused issues in the relationship.

The book has a VERY mild BDSM element, and has more of an element of romance. Simon likes to be in control. Kara likes him to be in control.

This audiobook includes Mine for Tonight, Mine for Now, Mine for Ever, and Mine Completely. Each section takes you through a different part of Simon and Kara's relationship. Introduces Simon's brother Sam and the mystery of his relationship with Kara's friend, which will continue in another book. I would rate this at 3.5 stars.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this audiobook provided by the author.

DNF. Overcontrolling and borderline abusive man, a language filled with "male" and "masculine," and a story that inches ahead slower than a snail. Checked out at 50%.

This was not a good book. It was a cheap version of 50 Shades of Grey. It’s not believable at all. I couldn’t finish it.

Audible Audiobook

Why did I buy this? It must have been on sale. I’m pretty sure I was dying to read more stories about sex back when I first read this. The story was about as meh as you can get. It was supposed to be a grand romance, but he was so pushy & arrogant. You will stay with me! My people have gone to your apartment & your roommate has taken all your stuff!! You have no choice!!

It just got old after a while. I am glad they addressed one issue. In a lot of rich guy/poor girl romances, the girl is not like other girls & doesn’t want his money, no! She has to decline all gifts & cry when he buys her something big. (This is when they have been together for some time & she’s still uncomfortable.) I hate to say it, but chickadee you’re rich now too especially if you’re engaged. Well, in this one her friend sits her down & tells her to get over it! She has money now & it’s ok to spend some—we’re not talking Bentleys, she wants a mani/pedi. Plus, it makes her guy happy to do something for her. Suck it up & just be happy you don’t have to live in a dump & work yourself into exhaustion anymore.

I swear, the way these poor people put up such a fight, you’d think they were being tortured. Give the money to charity, buy some clothes that don’t die in the wash. Be happy you’re no longer poor!

I was pleasantly surprised at this book. I don't read much in this genre, and picked this one up for free, and it was delightful. I expected this to be like 50 Shades (which I DNF it was so bad), but it wasn't. Quick, easy read.

Highly recommended

The story was like a refined cliche kind of story, my favourite kind of story to tell you the truth. It's your basic man falls in love with women at first sight and then saves her by providing her shelter and eventually falling in love with her due to her great personality.

I really enjoyed this audio book and I am loving going back to the beginning of the series to catch up on all the swoony alpha heroes I’ve missed out on! While this was originally written as a serial, I loved being able to binge the entire thing at once.

Simon is an alpha in every way. He is determined to take care of Kate in every way possible. His sweet and tender side, had me swooning the whole way through listening. Kate, is arguably just as alpha as Simon and is the perfect match for him. Even though it may be short, you can really feel them falling for each other. I just wanted more time with them!

I can’t wait to dive into Sam’s story! I’ve fallen in love with both him and Maddie in this book and can’t wait to see them navigate their own story.

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
