Mostly good. Interesting characters. The conflict was a little annoying but overall a fairly good short story.

*2.5
I rated the first one 3 stars and I liked it better so it’s gotta be 2.5. Great concept, rather poor execution. I normally enjoy past-present alternations, but not here. Maybe it would’ve been better if it was present-past (all of it)-present like Under One Roof? I liked the last 2-3 chapters best because they were more continuous (the flow didn’t break each time), so it held my attention better. It’s also insta-love which is not my fave… Idk, I just didn’t feel this one, even tho the concept is my fave out of the three novellas (I mean, stuck in an elevator is a CLASSIC)
I read the third one individually more than a year ago, but I will reread it to verify whether I really think it's the best one (update: Below Zero is definitely the best one)

Why? Why? Why? Does the FMC have to be childish and immature. Seriously why can’t the FMC be reasonable and mature. I get the confusion. I get the miscommunication, but once the truth unfolds she bolts and treats him like shit because she had to act like a child.

ok so this was was super cute like under one roof but idk the miscommunication trope did not hit like it usually does, but erik & sadie are adorable! i think with a little bit longer this would have 100% been rated higher

I always enjoy Ali Hazelwood stories. I do admit this one was too short to get fully invested. I didn’t like the back and forth with the present and “two weeks from now” story line. I think it would have been more smooth just telling the story how it is. I also wish since it is tied to Under One Roof they referenced to it a bit more. But this story was still so cute and fun hearing about Sadie and Erik and their engineering miscommunications. (Although when stuck in an elevator I would have thought things would have gotten spicy in there

Really enjoyed this book, just slight missed the mark for me though. The conflict was good and mis communication trope was used right.
