"eh, cosa?"
"no, idiota, no!"

This book started out a lot better than the first one...and everything went downhill from there. My biggest problem with it is once again Nora's behavior. She spent the majority of the book being a jerk for no good reason (not that I could see).
SpoilerFor someone supposedly so very in love, she sure was quick to doubt Patch. Personally I didn't see any reason at all for her to doubt him. She didn't have any proof, just the word of Rixon who she didn't know half as well. (Course this is the same Nora who would automatically believe the girl she hates when she says her mother was having an affair--seriously, what real person would believe someone like Marcie over their own mother?--so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Very quick to believe those she isn't fond of over those she loves most, this one.)

Patch irritated me a bit too, but Nora was much worse.
SpoilerIf I were him, there wouldn't be any "yes let's get back together like nothing happened" at the end. I would dump her and look for a girl who wasn't downright cruel. I mean really, the things she did just to hurt him... *shakes head*

The main reason I'm giving this book two stars instead of one is that the plot was fairly decent (character issues aside) up until the end. The reason I dislike the ending is
Spoilerit was literally the same climax and resolution as book one. Technically it was a different character (though Rixon seems very Chauncey-like at the end, which is weird since he struck me as a completely different kind of character in book one) and a different location (though the way Fitzpatrick explains it makes it feel very similar to book one as well). Overall, the same thing happens as book one.
So basically, Crescendo doesn't offer anything that Hush, Hush didn't already cover. It's nothing new.

After Hush, Hush I was content to finish the series. After Crescendo I think I've seen enough. I'm too bored with everything now to continue -_-

P.S. I still don't get the titles. "Hush, Hush" had nothing to do with the book itself. "Crescendo" makes even less sense, because the sequel didn't crescendo at all. Kind of odd but whatever XD

I gave this book a 5 star review because I throughly enjoyed the whole series BUT this book was probably the one I don't recall most of the book. I really liked that the author made it seem like Patch was with Nora's frenemy because I think jealousy is fun to read about. But I do agree with other people saying that Nora very much acted like an idiot in this whole book. You need to read it to read the other books but overall this book is just a filler for what's to come!

Oh My!!! At times I found this book kinda slow, but I think that was just me. Overall, this was a great book and leaves you eagerly awaiting a third book! I am super excited for a third book to come out. Definitely a good sequel overall.
