Very well written, with obvious hints to the musical. I loved this book, actually, one of the best books I've read in the past year. I think it has an engaging story with an important message. Especially as a fan of the soundtrack and wanting to watch the musical for a while, it resembles it well.
Love the musical and I loved this story. It was heartbreaking and sweet with raw emotion.

The last 15% of the book saved it for me. I'd listened to (and loved) songs from the musical for years now and worried that I was going to hate the book. Thankfully, the ending pulled it together for me.
