It’s not that this book is horrible, but I would not recommend it. A lot of reviews mention that the story here is nothing new, and there are hundreds of versions of this book. I can get a fair amount of enjoyment from books that aren’t necessarily wholly original if they execute really well, but unfortunately I think every aspect of this one is pretty poorly done.

The writing style is indistinct as are the characters. The conflicts are non-existent, the romance lacked both passion and tenderness, and I felt like every piece of this thing was being spoon fed to me in somewhat excruciating, repetitive detail. I wanted more depth of character and of story and would have preferred less internal monologuing that only served to repeat what the dialogue and action had already conveyed.

I was looking for something sweet and sexy and comforting and while this intended to have all of those elements, none of them really landed.

Amazing!

Wow this book was refreshing, they were both mature in how they handled their relationship and there was no unnecessary drama like in some other books. It’s really worth the read!

It was fine but I feel like I have read this same book, different sport, at least three times. Is there some sort of AI kit to create this story? If so, I’m ready to do it for badminton.

I do have to say that I really don’t think it would be okay for teammates to be a couple. At the very least, the team captain should not be in a relationship with someone on his team. I almost wish that the next person who uses this particular AI kit would keep their relationship a secret until one retires or gets traded. It would be far more realistic. Then again, I guess we’re not reading this drivel for realism so I’ll shut up now.
