This hit just about all the marks I wanted it too. I was really feeling an mm teammates romance and i stumbled upon this that had an added brother’s best friend trope and was excited to dive in!
Garrett and Ramsey were really cute together. I loved how much they joked around with each other. They’ve basically always had this relationship since they met 4 years prior. Garrett is super cocky, but Ramsey keeps up with him excellently. That’s the kind of relationship I want. Someone who get’s all my dumb, dirty jokes.
I can’t pin point truly why I didn’t love love this book. It might have something to do with the feb aspect. There’s just something i don’t necessarily care for about it. Kinda like fake dating. But it also could be linked to how long it took me to finish this book due to my dwindling free time.
But overall, this was a good, low angst mm sports romance and I think I’ll continue on with the series!

📖 The Details.
Garrett and Ramsey have a platonic history due to Ramsey and Garrets brother being besties. Did Ramsey make Garrett realize he was bi bc he was looking like a snack at a party? Yes. Did they later end up playing on the same team and realize maybe they have more in common than they thought? Also yes.
📖 My Thoughts.
Ok what! The first part of this book was tough for me bc there's a LOT of sportsball stuff and that usually makes my eyes gloss over. I get it, it's a sports romance- the sports talk should be expected. And it is- I just get lost in the details. 😅
But...Garrett and Ramsey. Wow. I was head over heels, heart eyes, stupid in love with these two by the end. I'm a sucker for banter and smart-assery between the mmc's- and these two have it in spades. I love it. Low angst, high chemistry, and swoon for days. I'll for sure be checking out the next book in the series asap. 🥰
