Loved this book so much! How the characters balance each other out and come together in the book is amazing. From the first page, I was ready or more and was so happy with this book. I could not recommend it more.

DNF @ 50% and skimmed to the end.
No rating... although with the skimming it would be a 3 star maybe.

I'm baffled by my reaction to this book.
This is Neve Wilder, who I love.
Riley, was one of my first and most favorite MM authors.... before the last slew of books which are frankly, too fluffy for her. where is Riley with the edge? Old School Riley needs to make a comeback.

And I was struggling to finish past the 20% mark.

I never warmed up to either MC.
The CONSTANT banter was a turn off. I think I'm over all the joking and ribbing that is really just too silly for my taste lately.

It was all too easy, too nice, too forgettable.
This makes me sad. I had high hopes.

“Rookie Move” was a great mix of sweet, funny and hot! I expected a little more angst after reading the blurb, but the story was more on the lighthearted side which was perfect for me.

The banter was on point and I loved how cocky Garrett was, at times he really reminded me of Darren Edwards from Riley Hart’s Atlanta Lightning series. I adored both Ramsey and Garrett, they were just so sweet together. The pining from Garrett’s side added some layers to the story and I just love when unrequited crushes grow into something bigger and becomes reciprocated. The chemistry between them was great and sizzling which led to some seriously steamy scenes (I mean, I didn’t expect anything else from these two authors).

The story is more slow burn than fast paced and it works well here since there’s some forbidden elements as well as brother’s best friend trope involved. Ramsey also needed to see that Garrett isn’t the carefree frat boy that his brother Houston paints him to be, but actually a decent guy that has his priorities straight.

It was refreshing to read a sport romance story where the characters don’t get outed by accident or against their wishes. I truly appreciated how it wasn’t a thing here and that the authors focused on other events instead.

There’s some really interesting side characters and I badly want Houston’s story! This is definitely a duo that I hope will team up more in the future, and since this seems to be the first book in a series I think there’s some hope!

This was a sweet, fast, spicy MM!!

I loved this.
The two authors compliment each other perfectly.
Neves knack for writing sexual chemistry and Riley's talent for building realistic characters and dialogue... it was perfect!
Cant wait for the next one.
