I loved this book. It grabbed me right away and I finished it all in one sitting. I could not put it down. Ramsey is a little older and is Garrett's brother's best friend. When Garrett is drafted to the same team as Ramsey they end up being roomed together and spending a lot of time together. Both have secretly held onto crushes on the other for a few years. It's the perfect cocktail , in my opinion. Despite all of that it's actually pretty low on angst and not overdone with the "forbidden" or "taboo" aspects.
The two of them together is not only steamy but fun. Their banter is so enjoyable; I caught myself smiling at my kindle several times.
I can't wait for more in this series. There is so much potential and so many absolutely fantastic characters in this world that the author's have created. I 100% recommend!

Enjoyable sportsball romance, but not exactly anything special or memorable. The character POVs didn't seem particularly distinct to me, especially as the book progressed, and while I can appreciate the author's decisions to go a very low-angst route, it *was* lacking in tension for me, and I found how smoothly everything went in every aspect to be unbelievable--I can understand why people gravitate towards that kind of escapism, but personally, if I'm not reading SFF, I prefer to read depictions that are more realistic and reflective of our world. A decent way to pass an evening, but it's the next day and the story is already fading from my brain.

LOOK the mcs were cute and had so much potential!!! if only their story broke away from the formulaic mold and packed on more substance apart from numerous sex scenes….but in this case, even the main conflict was resolved off-page so not the most satisfactory conclusion.

had the bones for something great but sadly missed the mark

4,5/5 stars.

Yes. Just yes. This is exactly what I love in books. I fell for these characters hard and fast, loved the team, that it was a sports romance and I really enjoyed the growth both characters showed on page. I was hooked to the story and finished it within a couple of hours. Can't wait for more!

Me (10:30pm): Ugh I wanna read something but it's a little late and I don't know that I have much of an attention span, I think I just need like an hour of fluff before bed, and this has been chilling on my KU for a bit so this will work.
Me (3:16am): .....Fuck.
