Love the Lake Superior setting and how the power of the lake plays in to the story.

This book was really slow for my taste. And got some holes and missing pieces in the story line. Other than that, I enjoyed the parts where the tension picked up.

Dark things have always plagued the family at Alban House, and after several decades away Grace Alban returns to plan her mother's funeral. Was her unexpected death just that, or could it have been murder? The Fate of Mercy Alban is a story about family secrets, murders, suicides, unfinished works by famous authors, and love that costs everything.

A shadowy read, perfect for a winter afternoon. Not truly scary, and perhaps a bit out of character for the Reverend, but fun none the less.
