What I Did Like:
+Interesting take on a heist type story. You’re not part of the “bad guys” getting to root for them, like in the Ocean movies. You’re also not a cop, trying to catch the bad guys. The distance sort of allows you to decide for yourself who you’re rooting for. It’s interesting.
+The setup for Mercer is great. I mean, who wouldn’t agree to this! Sign me up. It sounds fun, intriguing, and just the right amount of dangerous. I loved her story arc.
+The ending is satisfying. You get enough answers to be happy and the way things work out sort of works for all parties. I can’t fathom what a sequel of this book would need to cover, but apparently one exists.
Who Should Read This One:
-Fans of heist type mystery books who want something a little slower that takes place over a longer period of time.
My Rating: 3 Stars
The setup to this one is interesting but the slower pace makes it a bit more niche, since things of this nature are normally fast moving.
