Good plot. Well-paced. Lived-in characters, each with their own distinct voice. Julie Soto’s first YA book is a successful mix of mystery and teenage angst.

If Soto ever revisits this world, I’d happily follow any of these characters and their stories.

I’d recommend this to readers who enjoyed:
The Inheritance Games series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
One of Us is Lying Karen M. McManus

This book was extremely fast paced and kept me intrigued enough to read if in four hours.
The story, the cast and the twists were interesting.
