I've been in a reading slump for two months and I needed something to help me get unstuck.
It had a lot of repetitive sentences and the "pissing contests" between the boys (and the ones between the boys and Kiarra) were pretty cringe, but it was still entertaining I guess.
At some point Kiarra keeps mentioning about the “last few weeks with the guys” but we really saw them in like three different scenes, and those seem like they happened in three days, so I’m not really sure about the whole timeline.
And... I honestly don’t understand allo people. I get it that you’re horny, but there’s a time and place to start making out and grinding on each other. You’re in the middle of a serious and depressing conversation, it’s not the time. You’re injured and trying to run away from the ones hurting you, it’s not the time. KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTHS FOR TWO MINUTES.
I hate how there wasn't a single trigger warning in the book, not even a quick line at the start of the story. With all that literal torture, a content warnings page should be a must.
Content warnings: violence, grief, gore, torture, injury details, physical and mental abuse, child abuse, blood, death of a parent, murder, sexual harassment, confinement, kidnapping, suicidal thoughts.
