Very fun. Enough pictures and silliness that even the four year old stuck with us and we were able to finish it in one sitting.

This was so stinking adorable, and just what I was hoping for from a transition book.
The story was simple and straightforward, there were repeating actions that kids can recognize when reading, but it was also a story about two best friends who just wanted to spend their whole summer together.
I loved that there was a glossary of words that kids might not recognize, and several questions that related to the book. I think that would help any reader get through the story, and to think a little critically about what they'd read.
Best friends for the win, I can't wait to read the next book!

Read aloud to Gwen. This one was just ok - nothing that made it super stand out and nothing really objectionable.

Very sweet, and well paced. A bit silly of a conclusion, but kids will like it.
