Very fast read...wish I had waited for book two to come out before I started this one. I never have the patience to wait until the sequel comes out.

Well, I just want to say that I hate Callie's character. Dumbass girl.
And I don't like the fact that everyone in the book has something that ruined their life, the story feels colorless. I wanted to stop but, you can't help but wonders what would happen next, That's what the 3 stars for.

When I started this book I knew it was different from the Fallen Star series but I didn't expect this. I absolutely fell in love with it and could not put it down. It was something I felt like was so real because of the subject, especially Kayden's hit very close to home. I'm so happy to see someone write about the reality of life. Jessica Sorensen is definitely my new favorite author!

One the things I hate most about a book is to end on such a vague way. That's annoying. It's forcing you to shell out more money for the remainder of the book. I don't like that. Overall the book was alright.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are messed up, but their stories are so relatable to me. I loved the deep, dark storyline and the romance was a little different. Really excited for the next book.

Wow. What an ending!! Did that really just happen?!? What an amazing book, seriously. So many flaws, so much love, and so many secrets. Callie and Kayden may honestly be one of my new favorite couples. So much sexual tension! Love them so much!

Callie had a very horrible childhood. With secrets she has kept from her family since she was 12 years old. Will she finally say something? God, I hope so. Poor, poor girl! I wish I could hug her myself. Her best friend Seth is someone I wish I had as a best friend. I love him. He's funny, honest and there for Callie 100%.

Kayden has had is own share of a very horrible childhood. In a very different way than Callie has. He also has his own secrets that slowly rise to the surface and are revealed by the end of the book. And holy crap did I mention how crazy that ending is? Yeah, cliffhanger for sure. Kayden and Callie have no idea how much they need each other and how much the two of them out of anyone, can understand and be there for the other in the worst and darkest times in their lives. They really just need to punch through these huge brick walls and let each other in. I'm moving right into the second book because I don't think I can wait any longer to find out where their love will take them. I also hope that these secrets and these horrible people are punished in the worst way possible. Can I please punch someone in the face just for good measure?

Read this seriously. You won't be disappointed.

I thought this book was amazing! I felt a lot of anxiety (I don't like the abusive stuff), but this was really well written. I can't wait to read the next one! YAY!

This was definitely worth the read!

This book left me more than a little emotionally raw, at some points. I ripped through it in a day because I was so into the story, and rooting for Callie and Kayden to 'fix' each other. But. Really Jessica Sorensen? BOO on the non-ending. I thought my kindle was messing up and skipping from my current page to the end. Where's my sequel right this second so I can have some closure?
