There's not a lot to say about this book without giving too much away.
I preferred the book to the film as I found it much more understandable due to being able to flick back and forth to re-read sections in an attempt to piece things together.
Definitely worth a read.

I guess I’ve been living under a rock- because I thought this book was new (it’s from 2003) and I had no clue it had been made into a movie (with Leonardo dicaprio!)
This book was suspenseful and creepy, and the characters were so good. It felt slow-going, but always held its suspense and eeriness (probably since it is set on an island with a psychiatric hospital)…
The ending is a BANG. And I needed to go read reviews to figure out more about what all happened….
Definitely a great read. Now to decide if I should watch the movie (or if it will be just TOO scary for me!)
