Saya finally remembers everything with a bit of help from the others.
Again the drawing style is good and I found it a bit easier to follow the fight sequences in this volume which made reading it a bit smoother and more enjoyable.
The ending was a bit confusing where the story seemed to finish but then carries on some time later. I cannot remember anything after this in the anime so I will be very interested to see what happens in the final volume.

As the ruse of her small-town life comes crashing down around her, Saya Kisaragi uncovers the mastermind behind a huge plan to deceive and test her! Who are her true allies? Who are merely paid minions? Katanas clash in this heartbreaking yet riveting saga, taking the story of vampire slayers and ancient monsters right up to the events in the feature-length Blood-C: The Last Dark film!
Saya's guilt gets worse in this third volume, when she comes to the realization that she failed her friends and classmates once again by not being able to protect them. She was worried about her secret - that of being a demon-hunter, but the town has bigger secrets and they all are out in this installment. Watanuki (in dog form) urges her to remember her promise, for then he can fulfill her wish - and what is turns out to be is pretty shocking. The story then shifts from the idyllic town to a new Tokyo, where demon/vampire (whatever they are) attacks are starting to emerge. The plotline of the manga moves quite fast, and there is a lot of story development which keeps things interesting.
As a character, Saya loses her naivete - goes into full-on killer mode, and brings out the demon-killer we have known. Considering how much the people around her have hidden from her, she stills yearns to protect them. The things about Saya, in any incarnation, is her hero-complex - she will get shot at, stabbed or whatever, but her mission to protect the world comes first. The plot doesn't delve much into what the 'Elder Ones' from the town have got to do with the vampire (chiropterean?) attacks in the city. The artwork in general is splendid, with smooth action sequences. Also, why does a character from a CLAMP work HAVE to lose an eye? Does it increase their badass-level or something? :D
