when i was going through my asey mayo/phoebe atwood taylor phase last year, i didn't get to this one. mostly because i didn't have easy access to it (i.e. not owned in the local library system). fortunately, i stumbled on a used copy in the basement of the harvard book store, and it was swell to revisit these familiar characters. the mystery isn't the best ever, although it's intriguing and the supporting cast has plenty of color and interest. good fun.

Intriguing mystery, but the ending wrapped up awfully suddenly and without really explaining much.
