There are so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming in this one. I kept thinking I knew where the plot was headed, only to turn the page and get smacked in the face with some plot twist. Well done, Ms. French, very well done. It isn't often that I experience that when I'm reading, so I am very happily pleased. Jane has worked her way into the spot of one of my favorite female characters with her obstinate and feisty personality. She needs that to deal with everything that is going on in this one. I can honestly say that this one left me more of an emotional wreck than The Hate Vow and the next book can't come soon enough.

Either Nicole French is mean or I'm a pirate! I just yelled "aaaaargh" and tried to throw my kindle. However, in my defense I did just reach the end...for now because as we all know this is only book 2 of the trilogy. Gaaaaaahhhhh! Still trying not to throw my kindle but it might slip one of these times.

The Kiss Plot starts off where The Hate Vow ended- in chaotic despair. be careful because attachments and feels are unavoidable. I think my favorite part of this trilogy is Jane's unlimited spunk. She is feiry, wicked, and sharp witted. I love her personality 110%. She has a "no [sh]ucks given" attitude that she wears like armor but she's actually a bit marshmallow-y. And boy does her feisty come out and play in the big leagues!

The Kiss Plot is a train wreck of epic proportions. You can't stop watvhinf, you can't actually help, but you are invested because you are witnessing the horrific outcome. Everything you want, need, and hope for is going to be taken advantage of in The Kiss Plot. Every hope and goal for this dynamic duo of contrasting images is twisted, torn, and frayed. All of it will be tested; not all will make it through the wringer.

My suggestion is stock up on mood enhancing treats. You are going to need them when Janus comes calling. Simple pleasures are not to be taken for granted....trust me!

As if The Hate Vow was not enough - next up in the saga The Kiss Plot will leave you breathless. The story of Eric and Jane takes so many twists and turns you feel like you are on a roller coaster. This book had me laughing out loud and screaming at my kindle. Nicole French creates a world that leaves the reader with more questions and answers and just when you think you understand where the story is going - BAM - change course and hold on. This book deserves more than 5 stars!!

Oh my gosh, I can’t stand it! Eric & his pretty girl blew me away this time around, even more so than in THV.
French sent me on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride with all of the ups and downs, ins and outs, and the sheer complexity of their relationship, and I am BEGGING for more!
TKP checked off all my wants with the angst and the suspense and the teamwork. There was love and hate, friendships and animosity and I am THRILLED!
Let’s talk steam: I had to pause and fan my cheeks! Just holy crap! We know from THV that they can get down and dirty, but there are levels to this, and this couple is GOALS!
I’m ready for the rest of their story, because cliffhangers are killing me, but the flow is solid. This trilogy is shaping up to be the best of French’s work in my opinion. Bring on the conclusion! I am READY!

I was so excited to get this ARC from Nicole French! Been waiting since I finished book 1’s ARC lol.

I needed to know what happened after book 1 ended and having to wait was killer but once I got it, I couldn’t put it down.

Jane is one of my favorite heroines, I love her style and how she doesn’t care what others think of her. And with how book 1 ended, I felt with her all her emotions. I was right there with her trying to figure what in the world had happened and WHY!!!

Eric, this man I hate to love him and love to hate him all at the same time! I hated him at the end of book 1, so that hate was still strong in the beginning of this one. But I understood where he was coming from but I didn’t like it. I have to stay that in the end he had me loving him all over again!

Nicole did it again with this one. Loved every minute of it. But I also don’t like having to wait AGAIN Nicole!!! But you know I will cuz I have to know how this ends with Jane and Eric!!

I totally recommend this book as it is a 5️⃣🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read for me!

4⭐ In this follow-up from first installment of the Quicksilver series, we find out MCs in danger and at odds. We do not know what happened regarding the legitimacy of their marriage, the reality of what really happened to Eric while he was away, where the De Vries empire stands and if Jane and Eric will survive. I still think that Jane is so overboard with her insults that it overshadows the positive traits she may have. Eric suffers a lot due to all the issues and barriers that have been put into place for him to not be with Jane. However, grandma Celeste does not disappoint and makes sure that things are ironed out after she dies and forces things to happen her way. The Matriarch knows what's best for everyone. The secret society b.s. is sooo dragged on but it keeps some of the story and interest going. All in all, I love the love these MCs have for each other and I can't wait to finish book 3. Happy reading!

Paused at 17%.

Randomly came across this in the Audible Plus catalogue and listened to 2 hours of the audiobook before realising it’s part 2 of a trilogy… whoops!

So far the (middle of the) story is intriguing. Romantic suspense in a soapy way, lots of “FMC is the outsider in the MMC’s rich and powerful world” vibes but she probably ends up being central to the story.

I don’t love multi-part stories (such a time commitment) so might come back to this later.

Just an all encompassing great book! This author is constantly keeping readers hooked with all the mystery and suspense as Jane and Eric are trying their hardest to continue their journey. They are increasingly perfect for each other and once they realize that they will be able to face whatever is coming for them in the next book. I love the way this author incorporates locations into her stories. I feel like I'm right there with the characters and its truly masterful storytelling. Can't wait until the conclusion, so many questions still remain! I can't say enough good things about this book, it needs to be on everyone's shelves!
