Finishing my book club book ~a whole month late~. This was absolutely hilarious, but I was really thrown off by the individualized stories. It felt more like the routine Instagram posts of an illustrator more than it did anything else. And some of it went way over my head. This was fine, but unexpected. I loved the premise and humor a lot. A very different and fun read.

There were little threads of the comic that I liked a lot, and I appreciated that it 100% captured the spirit of teenage confusion and mood swings and caprice. I think the tone was slightly too cynical for me, though, and I wanted to see a few things wrapped up that weren't in this volume.

DNF.
Although I liked the art style, everything felt very disjointed since each story only lasted one page, leaving me extremely confused after every page. Maybe I'll pick this one up sometime and try again, but it's not a priority as of right now.

The balance of plot and feminist-based humor was very well done, however i do wish that there would have been more of a plot line directly about the school or just some continuous plot line to tie the whole book together. Otherwise I loved it! beautiful imagery and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters.
