This is probably my favorite book by this author.
It has a quiet, emotional beauty to it. It’s a beautiful ending to this series.
The characters are unique, interesting and have very traumatic pain from their pasts.
Shiloh and Ramsey have an odd connection. For years she’s silently watched him train horses, he’s a “horse whisperer” of sorts. He has the patience, magical heart and mind to heal them. He has a strong mistrust of people and Shiloh is only one of a couple of people he allows on his property.
The scenes with the abused, neglected horses and kids were really gorgeous and strongly emotional for me. The building of trust and a feeling of safety given was visceral.
When Shiloh asserts some much needed independence, Ramsey let’s her move into his guest house. It’s a bold move for them both and it begins a really lovely friendship, romance and a journey to healing for both.
I loved their interactions even in their quiet moments they were connected and understanding of each other.
They have serious moments and when it becomes fun and romantic it made me so overwhelmingly happy and giddy for them. They deserve all the good things.
Aidan and Elliot are two kids in a bad situation that become a big part of the story, I adored them and how they added so much heart, hope and happiness.
It’s a very emotional story- sad, scary at times, but the triumphs and joy are so much bigger and so satisfying.
There’s also danger lurking, a couple of mysteries and great suspense. One big part of that part of the story shocked me, it’s a great plot twist!
I love the secondary characters both new and Shiloh’s family who’ve been in the previous books in the series. They are warm, protective and so entertaining.
There’s laughter with the tears. It’s balanced so well.
I loved this journey for all the characters, Shiloh and Ramsey are very special to me.
It’s a bittersweet goodbye to all these characters I’ve loved.
Such a great emotional story of trust and healing. And of course LOVE.

Another deep and exciting read for Cathrine Cowles fans to devour!

Ramsey and Shiloh are the balm to one another’s healing and completely epic together. Their story is hands down one of my favorites and I’m not sure there’s a couple that deserves a happily ever ever more than they do.

Two broken people that don’t see their own potential, but see one another’s so very clearly.

I was able to listen and read this book and I’m so thankful I never had to have a pause in being immersed in their story.

Happily Ever After

Shiloh and Ramsey’s story was my favorite in the whole series. Seeing Shiloh grow during the course of the series and watching her fall in love with the perfect man for her was beautiful. You add in Aidan and Elliot and it was pure magic
