Talia Hibbert does a fantastic job once again of capturing wholesome romance in the midst of external and internal turmoil. This was a lovely book to start the year off finishing.

It was good romance where the main love interest is a complete simp. It’s a friends-to-lovers-to-strangers-to-friends-to-lovers.  It’s not long at all. I was reading and didn’t even notice that I was 86% finished and it wasn’t a 500 page slow burn where the first kiss is at pg 498😭

This is only my second Talia Hibbert book so far, but I'm becoming convinced that she exclusively writes books that speak to my heart and soul? I haven't read anything else from the Ravenswood series (although I do plan to), but this one stands on its own pretty well. The characters were easy to love, the story was very sweet and steamy, and I felt like it practically read itself. Loved this for sure, can't wait to read more from the author.

There are some content warnings with this one for sure (primarily regarding the heroine being pregnant and leaving an abusive relationship), but the author includes detailed content warnings at the beginning of the book that break down which things worthy of CW appear in which chapters.
