I love this, too! A healing story about life after death. The lessons are inspiring, but the one that hit me was about Cleo, Annie's dog. My family recently lost our dog of over a decade, and I couldn't stop thinking about him while reading about Cleo. I hope you're in a better place, little buddy. I'm actually glad that she survived the accident because her life wasn't over yet. I love the resolution, too. What I love most about this series is that it' s truly emotional and reflective. We look at the after life in a different light which was super interesting for me. Anyway, I'm so inspired after this story. Thank you, Mitch✨ I'll surely read your other books❤️

Short but powerful book that follows Annie, the girl Eddie saved in the first book. It was heartbreaking at times and altogether bittersweet as we learned with Annie what “mistakes” mean and how we are connected to others and across lifespans. Bad note: I am now afraid of hot air balloons.

A great follow up for its predecessor, I loved the connections but the original will always be held tightly to my heart. Maybe time has fogged my memory but there were more mentions of god, which is fine I just have varying views. It was beautiful though, pairing the storyline’s and the connections. Someone did say trauma porn in the reviews here and I kinda agree.

Wow, this is the first book I feel like I picked-up in a while and what an emotional turn I went through as if I was the main character. Also helps that we are close in age and their birthday is just before mine.

But needless to say, Mitch Albom does not disappoint his readers! The way he breaks up his chapters, the small subtleness to each flash back to the main story. The attention to words used. He is and stays as one of my top 5 authors.

I am a slow reader, and it may have started a little slow for me I fell right into it, and was guessing who the 5 people where, where they would be surprised and sad all at the same time.

There are many points that hit home for me more the the first book, The Five People You Meet in Heaven; since these are things I have been dealing with and fixing in my own life the second part had me tears and reaching for my sick fur baby and a box of tissues since that was something I have putting aside as much as possible.

This does have a small hint of religion in it, so if that is a trigger please come in reading what you can learn from the book even if you have a different faith since you would be depriving yourself of a emotionally, self explorational read.
