Short but powerful book that follows Annie, the girl Eddie saved in the first book. It was heartbreaking at times and altogether bittersweet as we learned with Annie what “mistakes” mean and how we are connected to others and across lifespans. Bad note: I am now afraid of hot air balloons.
Graphic: Death of parent, Domestic abuse, Child death, Confinement, Bullying, Death, Grief, Medical content, Physical abuse, Toxic relationship, Injury/Injury detail, and Medical trauma
Moderate: Animal death, Child abuse, and Pregnancy
Minor: Addiction, Gun violence, Alcohol, Cancer, and Fire/Fire injury

This struck me as very true. An amazing sequel that *also* ripped up my heart and sewed it back together a little kinder, with more understanding of life, eternity, and divinity.
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail and Grief
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Child death, Death of parent, Physical abuse, Medical content, Medical trauma, Pregnancy, Alcoholism, and Bullying
Minor: Cancer, Confinement, Infertility, Mental illness, and War
