Such a beautiful sad story!
I started listening to the audiobook on the eve of Yom HaZikaron in Israel, Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of the Wars of Israel and Victims of Actions of Terrorism.
The plot taking place in 3 different timelines and I loved how all the plots were interconnected.
Big parts of the book are based on true events and as an Israeli I could tell the author did amazing research work!

Big parts of the book are based on true events and as an Israeli I could tell the author did amazing research work!
The middle parts were too detailed and the end felt very rushed, and the jumps between characters were uneven and confusing (so much from Sharon at the end, but not Claudette!). Still kept me reading, though, as most historical fiction does.

The threads of the storylines are woven together, each one playing it's part in creating a tapestry that is intricate in detail.
The chapters tell you which of the storylines it is related to.......the ends of some of the chapters in particular leave you in suspense......tempting you to skip to the next chapter of that storyline....
In some ways you know how it is going to end, but you still want to find out how to get there.....but then you are also left wanting just a bit more.....
Well written. Kept you turning the pages. Read most of it in 1 day.
