I read this out loud to my ten-year-old, who had selected it himself from the family bookshelf. We skipped the one that was mostly a love story as he is not into those. Representations of women are dated of course, but since we were reading it together, we had a chance to discuss. I was surprised how many of these stories dealt with drugs. The one in which people were being injected with THC felt particularly quaint in modern-day Colorado! Maybe not Poirot at his absolute best but the kiddo and I enjoyed it.

I'm not normally one for short stories but I really enjoyed this.
Solidified my belief that not only is Poirots the greatest detective but also one of the most prolific serial killers of fiction. He also has an awful habit of letting people get away with their crimes!
