Amazing. Beautiful writing. Breathtaking characters. The plot was terrific. The names are one of a kind, I love it.
Pet is iconic. Love Jam and Redemption. What a duo.

I think this was a great book overall. I really enjoyed the creativity behind the main character, Pet, and the evolution of Jam’s story. The Author did a fabulous job of painting a whole picture.

Pet uses allegory very impactfully to discuss topics of abolition, abuse, and accountability, however it’s hurt a bit by the straightforward narrative and often feels overly didactic. However, the Black, queer, trans, disabled, and autistic representation is *awesome* and the prose is gorgeous. I’m looking forward to reading the prequel.
