A bear sits in a train station (the meditation station) and watches all the trains go by.

Meh. The metaphor was a little strange. It's an important topic to teach to kids, but I think actually giving them suggestions on how to meditate works better than this story.

I love this story that relates our thoughts to trains passing through a station! I thought the breathing techniques lend well to some movement while also helping little ones learn to stay grounded and breathe through stresses.

Cute little story to help little ones start in meditation. This will be helpful for my son with Autism to help calm and center himself. He may be a bit too young still to grasp the actual meaning, but this will be a book I will go back to again and again when he's feeling overwhelmed. I love the analogy of the train and having it pass you by while you stay in the station- calm and collected.

This book is a giant metaphor for calming oneself and getting in the space to meditate.  However, as an adult I barely get the metaphor, so I am not sure kids will.  I love the illustrations and the yoga poses by bear on the end papers.  In general I like the story, it has nice rhymes and a great cadence and would be a fun read aloud for 2 or 3 but I wonder how well it would work in a 30 kid story time setting.
