I was probably meant to have read this in school at some point but I honestly don't remember it being on any curriculum. Very short audiobook (it's less than 4 hours), but it's a powerful story of George and Lennie who somehow have become friends and have no one other than each other to lean on. I started to get a feeling in the pit of my stomach when listening to the last chapter as I remembered a line Candy said earlier in the novel and my suspicions of how it was going to end became reality. I'm sure most people already know the gist of the story and how it ends but I did not...it's sad and heartbreaking.
Highly recommended.

The ending had me GAGGED. Vocally gasped in the middle of pe class and got weird stares by all my friends. Had my jaw ON THE FLOOR!!

Poor George didnt deserve that 😔
