the book was funny omg it was so good there was really no miscommunication and nothing felt rushed or weird

It was sooo stereotypical: tall, muscular, grumpy man (at least he isn‘t magically build this way, he actually trains) and beautiful, small, sunny woman. And there‘s a niece (perfect angel child of course …) in whose upbringing he is very involved to proof, what a good man he is (told to us many times by the author).
Two things I found most annoying. first the niece is 8 years old, but has the mental capacity of a 5 year old. Why??? And second, if there is a child involved in the man’s live why must it always be a niece or something like that? Why can‘t she be his own daughter? Would have been something different, alas interesting. But no.
The writing is good. Maybe that’s why I was disappointed, that the plot is just so boring.

DNF at 73%. Don’t get my wrong this book is cute and there was a couple good laughs in it, but I just realized I just didn’t care about the couple or the characters and it was obvious they are going to end up together (or else what’s the point of romance). I found myself towards the end skimming over the words just trying to finish it and then I was kind of like what is the point of doing this?
