I was so excited when I heard about this book and it did not disappoint. A proper romcom. I loved the grumpy x sunshine element of this. Liam hit the SPOT - the way he put up a barrier in front of everyone but to see his vulnerability unfold was perfect. Annie was the perfect character for this, super quirky and the total opposite to Liam so the match was just right.

My only complaint is the amount of modern day references in this made me want to gag. It's a huge ick for me and I started to get sick of it. However, the 1D reference was fairly funny. Still worth the read!

After a breakup and quitting her job, Annie flies home to Atlanta to start fresh. Fresh job, fresh atmosphere , fresh new Annie. Barely making it onto her flight, she is placed next to Liam: a grumpy man who doesn’t give her the time a day. Well when something happens to their plane before takeoff, she ends up forced to share a bed with him; if that isn’t awkward enough, she wakes up cuddling the stranger but she’ll never have to see him again right? Taking on this fresh start attitude she walks into her new job and her boss is none other than Liam, the same Liam she cuddled with. Now as both of them battle their growing attraction, they are faced with challenges and a potential scandal that threatens their relationship. Will things work for them, or will they always wonder what could of been.

Oh this book was a delight and I’m sad it is over. Annie was hilarious and she was a mess but the best kind of mess. I really saw a lot of myself in her with her slight awkwardness as well as her tendency to blurt things out. She really was a fun read and I just love how carefree she was.

Before I talk about Liam, LUKE WAS A DELIGHT AND SO FUNNY! Liam, I think, had the most growth in the book. He went from closing himself off to allowing people to see him for who he is. Annie really helped him just let go and color outside his own preset lines. I think it was described best when he was called a cinnamon roll. He truly was a sweetheart and I really loved him . 5 stars for me and this author really can write her characters

If you love reading books that make you cry from laughing so hard… this is the book for you. Annie is a quirky 20 something year old who is instantly attracted to a stranger she meets on a plane. Fast forward a few days and she
comes to learn this man is her new boss, Mr. Donovan… who also happens to know all things Dolphins. Their chemistry is unmatched and so fun to watch how their story unravels. “No mistakes, just happy accidents”

Read this book. You won't
regret it.

I can't express how much I love this book. Just a couple of minutes into this story and these characters and I fell head over heels in love with this story! This book was everything. It was hilarious, unbelievably adorable, and it’s characters, Annie and Liam, had me reading with the biggest smile on my face and a heart that was full to the brim.

From the moment I dug into their story, I was utterly hooked. Annie is quirky, lively and so unique. She made me laugh out loud so many times, made me ugly snort laugh with her fun personality. She has to be one of my favourite female characters I’ve ever read! She’s so real and came out with the most hilarious lines that I bizarrely related to and found so endearing and funny. And then you have Liam. Liam is the serious business man with a heart of gold. But there is a charming and fun loving and compassionate and swoonworthy man behind his grumpy and broody exterior. And Annie slowly breaks him down with her persistent and crazy as hell way of lighting up his days. These two couldn’t be more opposite, yet somehow, they just worked. Their road to happily ever after is filled with hilarious antics, an outrageous personality, and so so much more. So That Happened is not only hilarious, but is filled with a lot of heart.

This book is the perfect romantic comedy. It seriously was everything that I want and need from romance. It was romantic. It was funny. It was totally unforgettable. I laughed. I had tears in my eyes. And boy did I ever swoon. I seriously loved each and every second of this book and never wanted it to end. Katie Bailey has totally knocked my socks off with this book!! It is definitely on my list of top reads for 2022 and I look forward to re-reading this book again.
