honestly i think my expectations for this book ruined it for me a little, i can’t say i expected more, but i definitely expected to shed at least one tear (and i finished it on my period so i expected at least TWO tears)
i hated JB with passion through the whole book(sorry i guess?)
the long chapter were sometimes TOO long for me, and at the end i was starting to zone out.

Disgusting, insensitive, irresponsible, and deeply mean-spirited. Do not recommend for anyone anywhere.

I know there’s a lot of pain in this book, but there’s also so so so much love. Those moments of love is what makes me love this book so much. The friendship, the loyalty, the forgiveness and the unconditional love.

The only book that has ever made me cry. And I only cried at the parts that were beautiful and loving, not the trauma parts, those only numb me.

Honest, raw, dark, unfiltered. Beautifully written. Strong characters who you learn to love.

But also extreme and by the end it almost felt comedic by all the bad things that had happened. It was unnecessary to escalate all the trauma, almost a bit too repetitive and tacky.

And deep down I wished for a happy ending.

Heartbreaking

This was one of the most heartbreaking books I’ve read in a long time. It was a slow read in the beginning but it started to pick up after getting through part 1. With the difficulties I had in reading this book, I have a hard time being able to recommend the book to anyone. If anyone who reads this review decides they want to read the book, I definitely recommend to take your time in reading it (it took me about 2 months) and, read it with someone or just have someone to talk to during the difficult parts of the book.
