i’m gonna be honest. this was the best raven cycle book. Opal’s POV was so humorous and light, but still revealed so much deep, emotional context for our favorite Raven Boys.

i at first hated the idea of Ronan bringing her back from his dreams, but after this, i wholeheartedly understand and love this little critter. her voyeuristic tendencies, her love for Adam, her loyalty to Ronan, her understanding of the dream world and magic. and her POV was so unique (it reminded me of the cats’ POV in Warriors) that it was hard to hate her.

i love Adam Parrish and Ronan  Lynch so much it hurts my heart, so i loved experiencing their live together from the eyes of an onlooker instead of from within their own heads.

this was so pleasant, and it leads me right into the Greywaren series… muahaha

I love Maggie Stiefvater’s writing style and The Raven Cycle books, so of course I was excited to pick this up. While I love getting more detail about the world and Ronan, I was a little sad not to see more of Gansey, Blue, and even Adam in this novella.

opal was the perfect pov for this story that bridges raven cycle and dreamer trilogy as shes just clueless enough and gives the reader just the right information to understand what's going on. at least, the stuff that matters to the short story. it also kept it interesting as opal is a very weird... satyr-child being

I forgot how much I love this world. It was fun playing in it again and seeing the characters I love through Opal's gaze. I am glad I jumped back in, it reminds me that I really need to read the Ronan stories, oops....
