I actually really enjoyed this! I genuinely enjoyed the whole premise, King's take on the zombie apocalypse and zombies was interesting to say the least. Again he creates a world for me to fall into immediately and full bodied characters. Very enjoyable, quick read.

It's a 4 from me.

Stephen King made a zombie book. I don't think I need to say anything else.

Classic Stephen King... although slightly different?! Really enjoyed the worldbuilding but brevity of it, just the right amount of development, lots of twists and turns, great read.

Honestly, not the best book I've ever read. I picked it up because with all of the conspiracies going around right now, I thought it might be a fun read. However, I found the story to drag a bit. The plot was okay, I wouldn't say good but just okay. The vulgarity was childish. Almost like a child who has found himself alone with the ability to try out cursing and vulgar phrases without the presence of an adult. Overly excited. Forced. Cringy. Too eager to use too often. I'm also not a huge fan of the very detailed descriptions of gore. That is of course a personal opinion. It was just a lot. Looking forward to my next read just to get the taste of this one out of my brain. Two stars was the highest I could give.

I've seen a lot of people talk about the fact that he ended the book in a way that seems as though it will have a sequel, but I disagree. I think it's one of those "let the reader decide" kind of endings though that didn't make me any more of a fan either. An unfortunate read, really. If you want to read it, more power to you.

It's kind of hard to describe this book. It took me a little while to really get into the story, but that's not to say that it started slow. It definitely had peaks and valleys. At it's best is was very good and at it's worst it was far from terrible. Without giving too much away I'll just say that I did not enjoy the ending. I think this book could have earned 4 stars with a better ending.
