Best ending that could've possibly been written for this story. Beautiful, heart wrenching and intense from the very first page. I loved it.
I cried and oh my goodness that last chapter was so beautiful :') such a good ending, and the fight at the end didn't go to long which was nice because sometimes they can be over done!
The most poetic ending and the best series about courage, fighting for something you believe in, becoming more of who you really are, honor, a sprinkle of romance, heaps of loyalty. Above all a world that has been made with great craft and great voice moving forwards into more legends and story telling. I absolutely adore this series
So sad this series is over! Absolutely loved the 'Legends in the Making' idea and thought the ending was really satisfying with that in mind. I'm glad AH gave us an overview of the future and didn't leave any plot holes!
The story itself was just a wild ride and the last few chapters were so tense but wonderful!
I really have no criticisms other than sometimes I felt that Amani was surprised at things that she really should have expected or figured out before. I also think that Jin's character could have been explored a bit more - at times it felt like he was just there for bits of romance to be played out. But that's hardly anything to complain about and I won't say any more!

This series presented a strong female character with intentional character development that was overall refreshing to read in a YA novel. Yes, there was romance, but throughout much of the book the romance seemed to be at the back of my mind while I tried to keep up with everything Amani was getting into. Unlike many YA novels, Amani consciously made decisions based on what she believed would be best for her country, fighting against selfish nature and the urge to follow her heart in order to make the sacrifices she needed to.
I honestly don't know how to feel about this book.
I feel like I've grown out of the story a little bit. I loved the first two books when I read them, but I'm not sure if I would enjoy them as much now. So I enjoyed this book, because I really wanted to know how the story ends. And I wasn't disappointed with the story. It wraps up perfectly, all the characters get a nice ending. The little parts were the story is repeated how it will be remembered are amazing.
One things that annoys me - but it annoys me in every ya-book - was the drama!

Spoiler
If you give the main characters a dramatic but meaning full death... let them be death. It's okay! Not that I wanted them to die, it just annoys me when character die almost all the time. You can't take dangerous situations seriously anymore.I really loved that the ending told you more about what will happen in the future

hnnnnnnnnnngh this series has been such a fraught affair for me; i loved the first book, hated the second book, loved the third book, loved the premise of a tragic ending where [redacted] dies because [redacted] but didn't get that ending bc the author wrapped it up a little too neatly but also i kjnfksljdnflksjdn. i have no coherent words for this review rn but one day i'll definitely come back to this and review it properly re: why i loved it and why i hated it. this was just such a promising series, though. the premise was beautiful, i loved amani from the first moment i met her, i /loved/ jin from beginning to end. but AGHHHH it did not deliver. but also wasn't actually that far from delivering. idk where i'm going with this, this series to me just always felt like the books should've gone through another re-write or re-draft or re-edit before publication. a little more fleshing out, a little more depth and this series would've been stellar, but instead i'll just leave it on my 2018 favourites list and feel sad abt its lack of delivery simultaneously i guess.
