Some stories set in the world of the Flash television series early in its run. A fine diversion. Phil Hester provides great art as usual.
I enjoyed the writing. The characterization was on point. I only enjoyed some of art. I felt like the characters were barely recognizable and I wouldn't have minded as much but the this was supposed to based on the television show. Like there were certain things that made some of them recognizable i.e. Cisco's hair but I expected Barry to look more like Grant. The stories, however, were very true to the show.
This was a fun collection if Flash stories. I liked the guest shots with Arrow, Felicity and the Suicide Squad. This didn't feel or look much like the show, but it still worked.
Not much substance, and a few of the stories feel like the writer got bored halfway through and turned in an unfinished script. Not terrible, but not very good, either.
This was a nice, fun, light look into some extras tales during season one of The Flash show on the CW. While the book isn't groundbreaking by any means it was enjoyable. The dialogue reads very true to the show and the art, especially by Phil Hester, was great. Overall, not a ton of substance but some really good scenes.
Excellent supplement to the show!! Some of the parts felt like they were straight out of an episode. Others were really weird (Black Star?? What in the world was that??).
I loved the inclusion of Captain Cold, and Day in the Life was really sweet.
Overall I think my favorite was the last one, Melting Point. I loved the storyline and its parallel to the show’s season 1 arc, and the art style was probably my favorite out of all the issues. The illustration of Dr. Wells on page 245?! Iconic!!!

Eh. It was just OK. Uneven stories and artwork. Surprisingly, my favorite stories involved Felicity Smoak and Caitlyn Snow at the end.
I am a massive fan of the Flash TV series and I recently met Grant Gustin (even spoke to him and took his autograph). Considering how this series is one of my most favorite TV series now, I had to read this comic book which continues the adventures of Cisco, Caitlyn and Barry from the season one. It was good but the artwork could have been better I guess as people here don't resemble those in the TV show. Some characters like Eddie Thawn were little different from the series I felt (he was mean towards Barry here). But I was happy to see Dr. Wells who is my favorite character from season one. Caitlyn and Cisco had more role in this book as we follow them on their own adventure at the end (with some backstory about Caitlyn too). There is no repetition here - these meta humans are mostly different from those on the TV series. If you like the TV series, this is a must read. But this is more like a companion and can't stand on its own I guess.
If you enjoy The Flash tv show you will probably enjoy this. I did. I haven't read any other Flash comics ever, so I can't really compare it quality or storywise, but it was a nice companion piece to the show. The stories were more coherent than the Arrow tie-in comics.
