This one just kept me on the edge of my seat, and it creeped me out real bad. Did not see the end coming, and I was really wondering until the last second who I should feel most afraid of. Alice Feeney writes good shit.

I ended up being more into this than I thought I'd be. I surprised myself. It has you guessing literally from the first to the last page. It is a gripping murder mystery with a full cast (and a ton of triggers, please be vigilant about them). I had previously read Rock Paper Scissors and it wasn't for me, but this book was going through my the traveling bookclub I run in my discord group and I am glad I ended up with it because I don't know that I would have gone with this author again otherwise. this is a fun weekend thriller read. Vigilant moment for sure. Solid 3.5.

Damn, what did I just read? This was a wild ride!
Deducting one star cuz some parts of the book truly disturbed me and I was left feeling uncomfortable for quite a while; it was unsettling. This book should come with all sorts of trigger warnings.

The end at each chapter always kept you guessing; I was suspecting 4 people at the same time and my mind was shuffling between suspecting a different one after every chapter.
The narrator's POV reveals nothing and keeps you hooked and guessing till the end. I thought it was very well written.

I saw some of the twists coming but I was not prepared for that last one. I am not the kind of person who will give a fewer stars just because I managed to guess the twists from a mile away. It doesn't mean the writing is suggestive of it, I just suspect everyone and it isn't the author's fault.

I don't know if it was supposed to be a twist cuz who wouldn't figure out that Catherine and Cat Jones are the same person?? I saw that coming as soon as the photograph was mentioned.

Alice Feeney's writing is captivating as usual. Brilliant storytelling and truly the queen of twists.

Also, I can't wait to see how the tv show pans out!

Feeney does it again😭🙌🏼
Mind blowing and deliciously twisty i read it in one sitting! I thought the pacing was perfect and the characters were each portrayed perfectly as suspects at some point or the other and she hit us with multiple plot twists in true Feeney style! Highly recommend!
