Alice Feeney sure knows how to write a thriller that keeps you guessing to the very last page. I was hooked on this book and it left me breathless a couple times from the intensity of the suspense.

Listened to the audiobook on the 1.5 speed setting in 2 chunks. The main plot “twist” wasn’t a surprise at all but there are a few smaller turns that were and a couple of moments that do make you doubt your pattern recognition. Engrossing for an afternoon or two but I am glad I sped it up.

I ended up being more into this than I thought I'd be. I surprised myself. It has you guessing literally from the first to the last page. It is a gripping murder mystery with a full cast (and a ton of triggers, please be vigilant about them). I had previously read Rock Paper Scissors and it wasn't for me, but this book was going through my the traveling bookclub I run in my discord group and I am glad I ended up with it because I don't know that I would have gone with this author again otherwise. this is a fun weekend thriller read. Vigilant moment for sure. Solid 3.5.
