📸 It's an extremely well written.
📸 Love the intense and suspense storyline.
📸 The plot twist until the end is chef's kiss.
📸 The pov from 3 different people is very creative.
📸 The entire time I have this ton of suspect and I have to keep on guessing who did it. And I really enjoyed doing so.

This book had me side-eyeing everyone like I was playing an emotionally twisted game of Clue in a fog-drenched English village.

Set in the small, eerie town of Blackdown, His & Hers jumps between the perspectives of Anna Andrews—a struggling reporter with a dark past—and Jack Harper—a detective who definitely knows more than he’s letting on. When a woman is found murdered in the woods, both Anna and Jack have ties to the case…and each other. As the bodies pile up, the tension cranks to an 11 and literally no one is safe from suspicion. Including the narrators.

What worked so well was the constant second-guessing. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Alice Feeney said, “No, you don’t,” and flipped the board. Again. I didn’t know who was going to die next or who had already done the killing, which made for such a fun, unreliable roller coaster. The cast was a delicious mix of unlikable, broken, petty, and secretive—perfect for a psychological thriller where everyone has something to hide and most of them deserve a slap (or worse). The vibe was dark, twisted, and somehow…grimy? Like I needed a shower after reading—in the best way.

There were a few things that definitely earned this book a content warning. Toxic friendships, heavy bullying, drug use, and a deeply unsettling subplot involving animal abuse and non-consensual sex. These were hard to read and took away a bit from the thriller high, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to those elements.

This was SUCH a good multiple POV thriller. I am begging you to listen to this one on audio—the serial killer’s distorted voice is super creepy and takes the whole experience to another level. The twists just kept coming, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I thought I had it all figured out... I did not. At all. This was sooo well done—dark, smart, and addictive.
