James Redfield's way of writing is bland, boring and you can see the twists and turns a mile away. Nothing surprised me at all. For the "religous" content, whereas the ideas themselves (eat more fruit and veg, be nice to other people think positve etc. etc.) aren't all that bad, there's nothing new about it, only this time they're presented as part of an "action adventure" to make them easier to take in for the large part of todays readers. Apparently it worked. It never ceases to amazes me how books so poorly written managed to get on any best-seller lists, but I guess a lot of people out there don't actually want to have to think about what they read, they just want some simple entertainment... however if you're after entertainment, I'm sure there's much better books out there than this one.
Geeft veel stof tot nadenken bij een spirituele zoektocht. Een beetje abrupt einde.
People forget this is fiction...and not very good fiction at that.

Beyond it not being particularly well written, I just feel like this is all stuff I’ve heard before. It has all the basic elements of basically all the beliefs and lifestyles of the New-Age movement. I didn’t feel there was any huge new revelation I discovered in this. But it was kind of like New-Age 101. Still fun to read as it’s well known and a little controversial (and it’s a quick and easy read).
Tbh this blew my mind when I first read it but now it just feels corny
Although it's been awhile since I first read this book, I won't ever forget it. I read it when I was younger, a teenager. During that time, I was soul searching and I read this book. It was so inspiring. I can see why some people might not like it as much as I did because a lot of the story is "out there", however, I loved it. If I even write a "correct" review, I would be giving too much away, right away. Read this book.
